Agentic commerce on Colossal is coming soon. The MCP server is available today as the foundation.
Agentic commerce lets customers discover and buy products through AI agents in chat applications like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. Instead of visiting a storefront, customers interact with an AI agent that browses products, answers questions, and completes checkout on their behalf.

The landscape

The industry is converging on open protocols for agent-to-merchant commerce:
  • Google UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol) - open standard co-developed with Shopify, endorsed by 20+ retailers. Agents connect to merchant backends for product discovery, cart, and checkout.
  • OpenAI ACP (Agent Commerce Protocol) - merchants sell directly in ChatGPT with Stripe-powered checkout.
  • MCP (Model Context Protocol) - one of the transport layers UCP supports. Colossal already provides an MCP server for connecting AI tools to your project data.

What’s coming

Colossal will support agentic commerce channels, letting your product catalogue reach customers through AI shopping agents. Your existing commerce services (products, checkout, orders) will work across these channels without changes.

Get started with MCP

The Colossal MCP server is available today. It provides read access to your products, customers, orders, and more through any MCP-compatible client. This is the foundation for agentic commerce on Colossal.
